A great walk that starts at Batheaston across the Bathampton Meadows before moving across to Bathford and follows the contours and fields to Ashley.

The route then crosses the London/Bath railway via a footbridge and starts the slow (but long) climb to the top of Bannerdown Common.

The route finally comes off the top of Bannerdown Common and into the St Catherine’s Valley and back through Northend to Batheaston.

The route has far-reaching Views in all directions and is a great route to do on a sunny day. Can be a bit muddy after rain
