This is my first walk from Colerne and I can say that it will probably be the first of many. I walked this on a grey March day but the views were still fantastic. There are so many valleys on this walk that you constantly stop and look up or across a new view.
The walk starts from the Six Bells Inn (and therefore finishes there too!) and skirts across the top of the Colerne hill until it reaches Thickwood. Here it starts a slow descent through Euridge to the By Brook.
The walk then proceeds along By Brook until it reaches Box.
Once in Box, it starts the climb back to Colerne past Jame’s Farm and through the wonderful hamlet of Ditteridge. The final push past Ditteridge involves some uphills parts that will give you some cardio workout and wonderful views before you finish back a the Six Bells Pub.
Alternatively, you can start the walk from Box, this gives you the uphill part at the start and then an easy descent back to Box.

The Route takes in a small section of the Palladian Way
